A Pinnacle of Musical Artistry

I've loved this album since the first time I ever heard it. It's a pinnacle of musical artistry.

Because I'm a weirdo I guess, I've tried to memorize the whole thing in case I ever lose my hearing in old age. This album is just a pure joy to me and I never want to lose it.

Of course, David Grisman, Stephan Grapelli, and all the musicians on this album are musical prodigies, and the songs on this disc are timeless classics.

"Misty", "Sweet Georgia Brown", "Shine", "Pent Up House"..

And "Tiger Rag"!

"Tiger Rag", AKA "Hold That Tiger", was the first song ever recorded in double track by Les Paul. I have no idea why I know this bit of trivia.

Listen to Stephan Grapelli and Mark O'Conner taking turns here while playing "a transcription for two violins of tiger Rag. Whenever I remember 1934, it make a me cough.":

Can you tell who is who?

Beautiful, musical genius! A remarkable interplay between masters of their instruments (and not just the violin players).
