Husband Out Of Town- Party!

Image
My husband is out of town this week so I've been partying like it's 1990. By 'partying like it's 1990', I mean sleeping in the middle of the bed with all the pillows and blankets all to myself, just like when I was single, way back around 1990.  And I'm working on my new country-western song about him while he's gone. It's called "How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away?" Cuz that's how I party! Update: I found this note left that he had on his pillow:  So I trimmed the note up a bit. He gets to keep the reservation, but now there's even more room for me!

I Scared the Whistling Ducks and Made Them Whistle!

I also asked them their views on gun control. They were universally for it.

Old Spice Votes

Hello, ladies, look at your representative.  Now look back to me.  Now back at your representative. Now back to me.  Sadly, he isn’t me.  But if he stopped using underhanded tactics to make his LOSER boss happy at the risk of life in prison and switched to Democrat, he could look and smell like he’s me.  Look down.  Now look back up. Where are you?  You’re in a hospital with your current representative. Your representative- who could look and smell like me.  Look at what is in your hand.  Now look back at me.  Give what is in your hand to me. It’s a letter. It's a letter from the hospital saying your cancer treatment costs $100,000. Now look again. I'm your representative. And now your cancer treatment didn't cost you a dime.  Look again, the letter is now a diploma - and it still didn't cost you a dime.  Anything is possible when your representative looks and smells like a me- a Democrat- and not a small-minded, small-handed, party-before-people, party-before-country,

The Second Amendment and Another Mass Shooting

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." There is a lot of focus on " the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" portion of the second amendment, but the " well regulated Militia" and the " being necessary to the security of a free State" portions of the amendment seem to be neglected. I would like to see gun ownership addressed a little more along the lines of automobile ownership-   with mandatory education, licensing (with renewal intervals of some kind), and insurance required.  These steps would ensure that mass shooters Cruz, Lanza (Sandy Hook), and Pollock (Harvest Festival) for example, had more opportunities for someone with more objectivity to interact with them beyond just the point of sale.   Yes, I know there is a difference between a "right" and a "privilege", that gun o

Interesting Sighting During Yesterday's Ramble- Thousands of Geese

They seemed to be mostly White Fronted and Canada geese. They were very chatty. I wonder what they are talking about?
